PASSING THE TORCH ACROSS GENERATIONS—AND THE GENDER SPECTRUM—TO LIGHT THE WAY FOR LASTING CHANGE.

Featured speakers include Shabana Basij-Rasikh, founder of the School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA); Ruchira Gupta, founder of Apne Aap Women Worldwide; Kathryn Hahn, actor and advocate; Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox, Connecticut State Senator and human rights scholar; and Hugo Slim, Director of Oxford’s Las Casas Institute for Social Justice.

This year’s Summit spotlights education as a force for global justice across borders and across generations. A featured global panel centered on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #5: Gender Equality brings together leaders from the United States, India, the United Kingdom, and women members of Senegal’s National Assembly. Framed by the contrasting realities that the Equal Rights Amendment, passed by the U.S. Congress in 1972, has yet to be fully ratified, while Senegal has enacted a landmark Gender Parity Law, the panel explores how gender equality is advanced through law, education, humanitarian action, and lived experience.

Throughout the day, a variety of breakout conversations will invite participants to engage with topics including reproductive justice, the rights and dignity of trans and nonbinary people, immigration and displacement, and storytelling and film as tools for social change.

The Summit will come alive with art, movement, and music—including a special performance by SANTIGOLD.
