Abbey Turtinen is the Director of Development of School of Leadership, Afghanistan (SOLA) an organization dedicated to educating Afghan girls. Abbey leads the development team in building the strategy, managing partnerships, and raising funds to advance educational opportunities for Afghan girls. 

Previously, she led the Development and Communications team at Yamba Malawi, an organization working to end child poverty. Prior to that she worked at the END Fund, a nonprofit ending neglected tropical diseases, as the Senior Associate Director, Investor Relations. She is passionate about driving critical resources to and raising the profile of international nonprofits with a focus on improving the lives of children across the globe. Abbey holds a BA in International Relations and Geography from Syracuse University.
