Sacha Maccabee has been teaching 9th & 10th grade English at Oakwood since 2022. Before coming to Oakwood, Sacha completed his Master’s from Teachers College, Columbia University, and taught English, Creative Writing as well as courses about the US prison system at various schools in both Los Angeles and New York City. Outside of his work as a teacher, Sacha has worked with anti-carceral organizations like Parole Prep in NYC and the California Coalition for Women Prisoners in Los Angeles.
