Steve Pinder

Steve Pinder is an actor and filmmaker originally from Indianapolis, IN. With Julia Aks, he is the co-writer/director of Jane Austen’s Period Drama, an Oscar Shortlisted short film and satire about menstruation, which has played at over 50 film festivals and won some 29 awards to date. It also garnered support from two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson, who joined the film as “Executive Menstrual Advisor” for the film’s Oscar campaign. Steve and Julia have also collaborated on sketch content, including a viral, Julie Andrews-inspired parody of Ariana Grande’s 7 RINGS music video. Steve’s screen acting credits include: THE EXORCISM OF ST. PATRICK, MEETING YOU, MEETING ME, I REGRET TO INFORM YOU, and Michelle Khare’s YOUTUBE REWIND 2019: THE MUSICAL. On stage in the Midwest, Steve has performed with the Actors Theatre of Indiana, Beef and Boards, Illinois Theatre Center, and SLATE at GSU. He has also found work writing musical lyrics for several projects: THE GIRL WHO LEFT HOME, YOUTUBE REWIND 2019: THE MUSICAL, and Tim Hautekeit’s upcoming SERENADE’S END. Steve has an MFA in film and television production from USC.
